Mission and Responsibility

• 1. Crime prevention against those who take advantage of both Thai and foriegn tourists.
  
  2. Service and protection for the benefit of all tourists.
  
  3. Support the activities and mission of private and goverment organiazations that promote the tourist industry
  
  4. Co-working and support for other organizations which work with the tourist industry, or as directed by the government.

• Emphasis on Chiangmai Province which is a popular tourist destination.

  The Mission Is:

• 1. Prevention and investigation of the criminal court case for the foreign tourists.
  
• 2. Provide service and information for both Thai and foreign tourists.
  
• 3.Ensure measures are in place for stopping criminals, especially those who make trouble for tourists. Emphasis on:
  3.1 Night time traveling places, such as the souvenir shops.
  3.2 Safety for vehicles which deal with tourists, which must conform to government regulations.
  3.3 Hotels and guesthouses
  3.4 Safety for Forest Trekking

• 4. Handle all problems reported by tourists, accept suggestions for improvement, and report to the commander.

• 5. Investigate criminal activity related to tourism.

• 6. Coordinate with both private and goverment organizations, including foreign embassies, which deal with the tourist industry.

• 7. Providing translation for the foreign tourists who have a problem.

• 8. Protection for VIPs including national guests.

• 9. Other jobs per the commander's order.
